Transformers: Rise of the Beasts surpasses Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in India during the weekend
According to reports from Box Office India, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts outperformed Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in terms of weekend earnings in India. The former managed to collect Rs 13.5 crore nett, while the latter trailed behind with Rs 5.2 crore nett on Saturday and Sunday.
On its opening day, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts earned a decent Rs 4.2 crore nett. The film continued its successful run by adding Rs 3.45 crore nett on Friday. In total, the Steve Caple Jr-directed adventure saga has now accumulated Rs 21.15 crore nett in India.
Not only did Transformers: Rise of the Beasts dominate the Indian box office, but it also claimed the top spot in its debut weekend in North America, amassing USD 60.5 million. With an additional USD 110 million from international markets, the movie has achieved an impressive worldwide gross of USD 170.5 million.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, in its second weekend, collected an estimated USD 55.4 million. The sequel to Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse has garnered a global total of USD 331 million thus far. In India, the animated superhero adventure has earned Rs 33 crore nett at the box office.
