JioCinema, the streaming platform, revealed that the much-anticipated web series “Taali,” featuring acclaimed actor Sushmita Sen, is all set to make its debut on Independence Day. Directed by National award-winning filmmaker Ravi Jadhav, the series is a compelling portrayal of the life and struggles of transgender activist Gauri Sawant, highlighting her resilience and unwavering spirit.

Sharing a teaser of the series on Instagram, JioCinema captioned it, “Gaali se Taali tak ke safar ki yeh kahaani. Presenting the story of Shree Gauri Sawant’s fight for India’s third gender. #TaaliOnJioCinema streaming free 15 Aug. @sushmitasen47 @shreegaurisawant.”

Sushmita Sen, who garnered immense praise for her digital debut in the critically-acclaimed show “Aarya,” also shared the exciting news and teaser across her social media platforms.

The series “Taali,” penned by Kshitij Patwardhan, is the brainchild of creators Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar. They have also produced the show alongside Afeefa Nadiadwala.

Apart from her role in “Taali,” Sushmita Sen will captivate audiences in the third season of “Aarya,” scheduled for release on Disney+ Hotstar.
